Light clay walls or straw-walls is a thick wall system (usually 12” in thickness) that
is composed of loose straw coated in a clay soil slip
(see www.palosantodesigns.com) which is then tamped into form walls 12” thick to create a monolithic wall that is all natural, has breathable, high in r-value and thermal mass.
